7th International Cartoon Festival
ZAGREB 2002
ZAGREB 2002 The winner of the 7th International Cartoon Festival ZAGREB 2002 which was organized by the Croatian Cartoonist Association is Mr. Garif Basyrov from Russia. The second award won Mr. Victor Bogdanov from Ucraine, and the third Mr. Mahmut Akgun from Turkey. For more info about the festival click here!

FECO A famous croatian cartoonist Mr. Davor Stambuk won the 3rd place in the third edition of the great Belgian cartoon festival Cartoons & Photos Undercover, with the main subject of "Work". His awarded work can be seen here.


Curuxa Grafica
Fene 2002.
A.P.C.A. The living legend of our Association, Mr. Oton Oto Reisinger won the 1st prize in the 13th edition of international cartoon festival "Curuxa Grafica" in little spain town Fene.



Iranian Cartoonists Group Exhibition Zagreb 2002
The opening ceremony of the "Iranian Cartoonists Group Exhibition Zagreb 2002" took place on the 22nd of January in Zagreb's upper-town gallery "Kristofor Stankovic". Opening speeches gave Cultural attache of Islamic republic of Iran Mr. Masoud Sheikh Zeineddin and Mrs. Naima Balic, from the Croatian Ministry of culture. In the name of Iranian cartoonists, Mr. Nik Ahang Kowsar, who was visiting Zagreb at that time, as well as Mr. Massoud Shojai Tabatabai, gave a greeting speech. The exhibition was opened by the president of the Croatian Cartoonist Association Mr. Ivan Saric.

A.P.C.A. In the first issue of International cartoon festival, which was organized by A.P.C.A. (Amateur & Professional Cartoonists Association), Ivan Haramija-Hans entered the first ten. Also, our member, Louis Postruzin PoL received a special award for two of his artworks. The main subject was "Pets".

Author: Nik Titanik In Varazdin, old croatian baroque town, awards have been anounced in the 6th international cartoon contest. Grand-prix won Jurij Kosobukin from Ucraine, and from croatian authors, the 2nd prize in category "Hunter and Dog" won Nik Titanik and the 3rd Zeljko Pilipovic. In category "Country holiday", the 3rd prize won Ivan Haramija-Hans

Raf in Turkey
Nasreddin Hoca 2001.
Nasreddin Hoca In very famous turkish cartoon festival "Nasreddin Hoca 2001.", croatian legend Zeljko Ceric Raf received a special award for his artwork. The winner of the festival was Miodrag Velickovic from Yugoslavia, and other prizes took In Kyung Chung from Korea, Muhittin Ozturklevent from Turkey and Boydan Sykh from Ucraine.

DIFECA 2001.
DIFECA In the big and very rich festival Dong-A LG International Festival of Comics,Animation & Games 2001.( DIFECA ), croatian cartoonist Nikola Listes was awarded with the 2nd prize. Grand-prix won Han Sang-Yun from Korea. Other nomineed croatian authors were Louis Postruzin and Davor Trgovcevic.

PortoCartoon 2001.
Porto The 3rd edition of the cartoon festival "PortoCartoon" hosted artworks of 414 authors, among them the 1st award received Valery Kurtu from Germany, the 2nd Aleksandar Pashkov from Russia, and the 3rd Jurij Kosobukin from Ucraine. Specially are mentioned Luc Vernimmen (Belgium), Krassimir Haralampiev (Romania), Oto Reisinger (Croatia), Angel Boligan (Cuba), Ali Shahali (Iran), Mihai Ignat (Romania) i Nikolai Krachtchin (Russia).

Oto the greatest
Alanya 2001.
Alanya In cartoon festival, which has been held in turkish town Alanya this sommer, with the theme "Tourism and historical monuments of the Mediterranean", croatian cartoonist Oto Reisinger won the 1st prize. Oto was invited to receive the award and spend a week in this luxury touristic destination where he had enjoyed himself a lot. Bravo Oto !

17th BUHA
Slavonski Brod 2001.
BUHA The Association of humorists amateurs from Slavonski Brod (B.U.H.A.) set up for the 17th time the international cartoon festival. Among 147 participants from 30 countries, the golden prize won Oleg Loktyev from Ucraine, the silver Miroslav Gerencer from Croatia, and the bronze Jurij Kosobukin, also from Ucraine. Special awards won Krunoslav Sili (Croatia), Marcel Vukovic (Croatia), Branko Glas (Croatia), Mihaita Porumbita (Romania) i Erico Jonquera (Brasil).

FECO Davor Stambuk won the 2nd place in the 7th issue of the International Cartoon festival Haifa 2001., organized by Israeli PENCOM Association.

14th Dutch Cartoon Festival
FECO Award to Oto
FECO In the 14th International Cartoon Festival in Eindhoven, Nederland, famous croatian cartoonist Oto Reisinger was awarded with FECO prize. Belgian author, Stefaan Provijn won the Grand-prix on subject "Drinking water".

Hans' victory
Calarasi Ivan Haramija-Hans won the 1st prize in the International cartoon festival in Calarasi, Romania. The main subject of the festival was "Dictators and dictature".

Nik Titanik sprecht Deutsch
Goethe Institut Nearly 400 cartoons were sent from all around the world to the festival, which was organized by "Goethe Institut" (Germany), with the theme "Germany and its language". The jury consist of seven members choosed three equal winners: Eray Özbek (Turkey), Grzegorz Szumowski (Poland) and Toso Borkovic (Yugoslavia). From croatian authors, special award received Tomislav Ozanic and Nik Titanik.

No smoking !!! Croatian cartoonists Zvonimir Cacic and Oto Reisinger got special awards in the "Worldwide BE TOBACCO FREE! Cartoon Contest". The winner of the contest was Ali Shah Ali from Iran, the 2nd place won Hikmet from Turkey, and the 3rd Fernando Pica from Columbia.

6th Salon caricature
Zemun 2001.
Salon The winner of the 6th international Salon of caricature Zemun 2001. is Oleg Dergatchov from Ucraine. The 2nd place won Yuri Ochakovsky from Israel, and the 3rd Branislav Obradovic from Yugoslavia. Special mentions got Zeljko Ceric from Croatia, Ignjat Gatalo (Yugoslavia), Ilian Savkov (Bulgaria) and Vlado Volas (Yugoslavia).

Bree 2001.
Golden Sleeper In the second edition of the great Belgian cartoon festival Cartoons & Photos Undercover, with the main subject of "Nightlife", famous Croatian cartoonist Oto Reisinger won the second prize called Golden Sleeper. Other Croatian authors who entered the exhibition and the catalogue are Krunoslav Sili, Davor Stambuk, Zeljko Ceric, Bojan Grlica, Damir Novak, Branko Premuzic, Miroslav Gerencer, Ivan Haramija i Nikola Plecko.
